MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone. May you have a happy and prosperous NEW YEAR!

Wednesday, December 23, 2009

I don't know what to tell everyone. Contact the AKC, the BOD, and ethics and grievances with your complaints. I can't help you with this.
As far as I know Karin has never titled a dog in any sport, as far as I know she has never even completed anything she started. Yes her excuse for Castleguard's Maximus not competing was because he had DCM and severe allergies to everything grass and food being the main problem.
As far as Amore' goes, I do know that Dave works his dogs all the time they are very impressive corsos. As far as the main sport the kennel prefers you will have to ask them. They are one of the few kennels to prove themselves in the corso community.
It's sad when they have to refer people to other forums so people can learn about the working corso because the CCAA working chair has run people off. But that's just par for the course. Expect nothing less.

It's been a long month.
We went to Eukanuba with Dakota. Did a great interview with Animal Planet on Dakota and her being the winning-est bitch in the US, the first corso to be a certified assistance dog and the first US corso to win at World Shows, that will be televised sometime in the next month or two. I will let you know when they give me the date.
It's embarrassing to see that not one dog was at Eukanuba from the BOD. Not one board member was there working. This shows their true commitment to AKC. The loyalties of the CCAA and the BOD lie with an alleged pedophile and his crooked show assoc. That's the only place they can win and get cheap titles.
To those of you that have been calling me all night. I don't know what to tell you. Yes the posts put up on the CCAA board by the BOD and their buddies are against every rule that club has and no I doubt they will do anything about it. The rules set for the CCAA are for everybody else not the BOD and their close friends. Be prepared I'm sure it's going to get worse before it gets better.
The only way to fix the club is to get the entire BOD out of office and start anew. But no one seems to care and it doesn't seem to matter to anyone what the BOD is doing.
Look at all the actions being taken against individual members all of the Code of Ethics violation and tell me that's OK. It isn't. But until something is done nothing will change it will just get worse.

Enough of their crap.

I'm delivering miss Kandi to her new owners this morning. They have been waiting for her for 4 months. Kandi has turned into a beautiful bitch and will do well for her new owners in the show ring. Cha-Cha now has her work cut out for her with a new little sister and Connie and Tim have their work cut out for them with those two.
My show season is starting all over again in a few weeks, I will have 4 corso, 2 dobermans, 2 frenchies 2 am staffs a lab and a portie these first shows. It's time to get to work and get serious with real shows and a new year.
Dakota leaves in June to go with Moe and campaign when full recognition begins in July. Going to be a great show year for her. She will be hitting about 15-20 shows a month for the first 3 months so she will be a busy girl.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

I hope everyone got your entries in for Eukanuba. It promises to be a great weekend.
I can't wait to see old friends and new dogs. It promises to be a fun weekend with lots to do.
entries for the 3 supported entries close tomorrow so those of you who haven't gotten your entries in for those shows still have time.
Good luck to everyone.

AKC stand on Crop/Dock

Section 8-D of the AKC’s Rules Applying to Dog Shows states that “Any dog whose ears have been cropped or cut in any way shall be ineligible to compete at any show in any state where the laws prohibit the same except subject to the provisions of such laws.” In other words, if a law that bans ear cropping or tail docking were enacted, then dogs that had such procedures would not be permitted to participate. The AKC encourages all dog owners to comply with all laws regarding dog ownership in their state and will not punish them by banning them from competition or ceasing to approve shows in that state. Likewise, the AKC will not penalize exhibitors who cannot crop or dock according to the standard because of state and local laws.

I hope this helps

CROP/DOCK

Thank you everyone for all of your phone calls and emails over the last few days.
The important thing to remember is if a no crop/dock law is passed in any state the AKC will have to follow that states laws and any cropped/docked breed will no longer be able to compete in that state.
When California was trying to ban crop/dock in their state there were many lobbyists from many breed clubs that got together and put the figures together on how much income would be lost by the state if the ban was passed. This was one of the deciding factors for defeating the bill.
If you truly want to be sure these laws are never passed people need to get involved with the breed clubs working so diligently to preserve the right of owners to crop/dock. Meet your state lobbyists and volunteer your time.

The Frenchies have been here for 3 days now and of course they run the house. Georgia is the mountain when the two of them decide to play king of the mountain. So now not only does Georgia have to babysit my grand son and the 2 dobe puppies she also has a full time job with the frenchies. I wish all dogs could have a correct temperament like she does. She loves everybody and everything but will take on a hostile stranger at the drop of a hat without any hesitation plus has passed all of her health testing. She has passed her OFA thyroid, patella, & heart plus her baer hearing now all she needs is her hips at 2 yrs old. That's what a dog is supposed to be.
She shows like a pro and can pass the TEC not bad for a puppy.
I'll have new baby pictures for you of the frenchies in a few days.

they are here.Introducing Dody (Honey Pied) and Beula (Pied). They were 8 weeks old on Wednesday.
Look for them at a show near you in about 4 months.

Sunday, October 11, 2009

We ended up with 12 dogs working today, it was a long day but it was worth it. I want to thank every one for all their help with the weekend. We had a lot of fun some new friends were made along with all of us old group getting together. Next time we are all getting together in Montana.
I brought Georgia out to meet everybody and to do a puppy test. I was very impressed along with everybody else on how our social butterfly who just loves everybody was not afraid to do the tests, she can be tough if she thinks she needs to. Just goes to show what correct temperament is in a corso when raised right and with good bloodlines. It was the first time most of these people had met the breed and I think they were impressed. Everybody is used to me working the dobes and the GSD's and were surprised to see her after the things they had heard about the breed and how unstable they can be.
We just got home from visiting the frenchie litter, they are just beautiful.
I'm off to take a long shower and go to bed.
Again thanks every body for the great weekend.

Saturday, October 10, 2009

We had a great day today, The Dog expo was here in town. We helped with the PD dog demo, had dobes, corso and GSD there to do an up close and personal for the people plus did some obed. demo's. Tomorrow will be a working day for everybody, we have a seminar with helpers in the morning then will work dogs for the rest of the day. It's so great to get together with everybody to freshen up skills, learn new things, laugh, have fun and enjoy the people you are with. No fake political crap or fake people and useless dogs.
Off to dinner and a fun evening with everybody.

Monday, October 5, 2009

We had a great time last week but I'm glad to be home for the next week.
I love AKC breed nationals they are always so well handled and the people are always so fantastic, none of the game playing. To all the great new people it was great meeting you and showing with you.
The puppies are doing great and growing like mad. I now have a new min pin here I hadn't expected and she has the whole house in an uproar. I'm going to see my frenchie boy tomorrow and I hear he is growing like a weed.
I think I have everybody emailed with the questions I have gotten in the last week, if I haven't answered you yet just e-mail me and I will get back to you.
I know the issue of some of the handlers and the ethics of some of the breeders has become a really hot topic but I think you will find as the breed goes forward those issues will pretty much take care of themselves, dogs just simply are not handled or cared for in that manner in the AKC world. Those type of handlers and breeders will be culled naturally since AKC people won't tolerate that crap.
I'm off to go play with the babies.

Thursday, October 1, 2009

I'll try to answer your question briefly this morning and I will address this and the other questions I'm getting more thoroughly when I get home.
You should always do a lot of investigating when you choose your handler or before you ever send a dog out. Don't be afraid to ask them and other handlers or owners what the reputation is.
If a dog is sent out with a handler to be campaigned you should know where the dog sleeps at night while traveling, how often are they walked, how much exercise will they get on the road, where they live when they are at the home, who feeds them, what do they feed them, who works and trains them, how often do they get exercised, how often do they get played with, how much personal time are they getting, how often are they groomed.
A dog can be ruined when it is taken away from a secure environment and passed around, not fed properly, neglected or even worse abused. Your breeder should also know what you are doing they may know something about the handler you choose or have suggestions on who you should use. What breeder in their right mind would want a dog out with someone who doesn't feed properly, neglects or abuses your dog, or leaves them sitting in a car all day and night not being taken care of while the handlers party? Also make sure the stud arrangements are in writing, you don't want your male passed around and used to get diseases and ruined or your bitch bred by accident because no one was taking care of her and watching her.
Just some things to think about.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

We've had a great month of September. The Frenchie has been doing well and only needs 4 points to finish not bad for one month. The lab now needs 1 point to finish (I always dread that one point)my am. staff is ranked and doing well for a young dog. I've picked up a new (old) Dane client and now am also showing a ranked male special. I've shown Judy's danes off and on since 1991, it's great to get back to old AKC clients that realize how the show's work and work hard and to do what it takes to make their dogs the best.
I stayed here in Grand Junction for the shows this past weekend for some clients that needed singles, I hadn't entered anything since I didn't think I would be here. It was great to not have to worry about getting dogs ready and to get them to and from the show and to be able to go home to my own bed every night. The show was really small this year for the club I hope they can continue having it.
My new Frenchie male is now 6 weeks old so he will be coming home in a few weeks to start his show career. Norman (his father) died while we were in WA. He was my first Frenchie special 10 years ago, he lived with us for 4 years during his show career so it was like loosing one of my own, his owners were devastated when they called me. Norman was 11 1/2 years old, not bad for a frenchie.
Everybody always tells me I shouldn't get so attached to my specials but when they live in your home like one of your own for years I don't know how you can keep from it. I can't anyway.
Mom went with me to the Shelton Washington shows and we had a great time. We took an extra day so we could whale watch and it was worth it. The whales were amazing to see come into the cove and eat and play. I got some great pictures.
Mom got to visit her best friend from high school while I was at the shows, it was great to see them laugh and act like teenagers.
Anita, as always your evaluation of breeders and their dogs is right on. Thanks for the evaluations this weekend. It's always good to hear an opinion from someone with the knowledge, training, expertise and working background like you have. I'm glad to hear my judgment was right. Yes, there are a lot of crazies in this world that shouldn't own a dog let alone be breeding. I look forward to seeing you and finishing our conversation tonight or tomorrow when you get into town for your conferences.
Well I'm off to the Am Staff Natls. tomorrow for 5 days of shows in PA. I'm doing a big working seminar here at the house with a bunch of old clients the following weekend. I love it when we can all get together and work dogs.
I have 3 new client dogs flying in next week to get ready for shows, so I have my work cut out for me.
The puppies are 12 weeks old and I'm very pleased with how they are turning out. They are hell on wheels.

Monday, August 31, 2009

We had a great weekend, had a lot of fun and we got to see places we hadn't seen before.
It's always great to go to a show with Bonnie, it's a lot of fun, she's always great. We had a lot of fun with Krissy, it was great to see her again and have a good time. I love your outlook on life and how you know how to handle things. I wish everyone had your attitude.
Gina I'm sorry you couldn't make it to the shows and you had to work but it was great for me, I got to show Cha-Cha and get WB on Saturday and WB, BOW on Sunday. I don't get to show my grand kids often so it was fun for me. I really like the way she's turning out you do a great job with her. She's a hand full just like her grand father and mother. I can't wait to see her and Paris do the WAE next weekend.
Judy your dane boy is really turning out nice congratulations on being top 10. Sorry you had to drive clear back to Vegas for just 2 days. See you next weekend, we're still doing dinner at the Mexican restaurant.
Deb your little boxer girl is really cute. I'll see you on tuesday.

The best part of the whole weekend was getting to go home thru Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park with mom. She hadn't been there since she was a young, her family ran sheep up there so it was great to take her back to some of her favorite memories or childhood and time with my dad when they were first married and he worked on the railroad up there.

It's going to be nuts on Friday, we have the Doberman specialty, the WAE, Am Staff specialty, Berner Specialty, Terrier specialty and Toy Specialty. Every body give me a call so we can work out our schedule. Shauna is coming to help as much as she can while working around the dobermans schedule so hopefully it won't be too nuts.

Here's a picture of Georgia playing with Fame's puppies last Tuesday just before they were cropped. I will get you an updated picture when I get back with thier ears up. Karigan is the one with the most bone and front. I like her head and neck the best too.

Monday, August 24, 2009

It's been a busy 3 weeks. Our grand daughter was born 3 weeks ago healthy and happy. Mom and daughter are doing great.
The puppies are just beautiful. They will be 8 weeks tomorrow. We cropped last wednesday and the ears are really nice. Ann always does a beautiful job. We named them Karigan and Kandy. They are house trained already and think they are just it since they get to run with the big girls. Georgia is absolutely wonderful with them and has taken over as babysitter. Everyone should be so lucky to have a bitch with a temperament like hers. She's also the ultimate clown.
The shows were great this weekend. We got to see old friends and have a great time. Winning always makes a trip a lot more fun.
For all of you who seem to be so concerned about where I am I thought I would give you my schedule so you can keep track of me.

I left last Wednesday 8/19 a day late after we cropped ears for KC MO for 4 shows and got home this evening.
I leave on Friday 8/28-30 for the Cheyenne WY shows.
9/1-2 SLC UT to see the baby
9/3-9/7 to the Greeley CO shows
9/10-11 I will be in SLC UT for a meeting
9/17-22 Shelton WA shows
9/24-28 MT show circuit
9/29-10/4 PA for Am Staff Natls

That's as far as I have firmed my schedule but I'll be sure and let you all know where I am at all times.
I will be doing the Tucson shows and I will be at Eukenuba in December as I have 3 dogs qualified so far.
It's been a great 4 months getting back to showing AKC my old schedules and to old friends. You don't know how much you miss it until you get back to your old friends and schedules.
Shauna hasn't gotten to travel with me as much Adams work has been keeping him really busy.
Mom got to go on a cruise to Alaska and had a really great time. She's home and back to being my co-pilot.
Katy and Allen are moving to Chesapeke Bay to take over a wild life sanctuary for the state park system so Merlin will get to go to work every day and swim in the ocean. I am so glad he has such a wonderful home and life.
Jake is still doing great and has been officially in remission for 7 months. He even gets to do wrestling this year in school. Jake got to go to Disney land for his Make a Wish the last week of July. He had the best time, he got to go to Knots berry Farm, MGM Studios and the beach plus he got to go to Lego land. I think he liked that best. It's great to see him finally getting to be a real kid.

Brazen

To the person who said I was rude to them. If I was I apologize, that's not my nature. I would like to know what show this was at.

Brazen.
No I do not co-own Brazen. She is registered to Shauna DeMoss only. Yes I was supposed to co-own her but guess what, I called AKC to verify she was in my name and if she was to get my name taken off and, NO she was NEVER in my name. I can show you the correspondence on this matter with AKC if you would like. I did whelp her last litter. She had 8 puppies. 2 were put down because of bad hearts, 1 had a cleft palate, 5 had kinked tails and 1 had a fearfull temperament. I told Shauna at that time that Brazen needed to be spayed. That's a litter out of her with issues. Brazen was my girl, she lived with me for 2 1/2 years, but just because you love something doesn't mean you should breed it.

Midas

Why I chose Midas. It's simple
I was very attached to him, I loved him, he was a clown and he loved to show. He loved to do everything.
I thought he could be the next Working dog of the year he had that attitude and that was my goal for him. I don't breed the corso so what was in his background wasn't important to me. His attitude is what mattered. I worked hard for 3 years to give him that attitude. In my response to Shauna one of the things I said was that I was most likely going to neuter him in 2011. You know as well as I do that you can't have a top working dog with AKC if he's intact. Especially if you are starting with a 3 year old. I was honest and up front about it.

Saturday, July 18, 2009

This whole mess didn't start out about the CCAA and it isn't really about the BOD now. This started out with me filing a legitimate complaint againt Shauna DeMoss. Unfortunately the board decided not to allow the complaint to go thru as is my right by the constitution and got themselves in the middle of this whole thing.
I was not given my right to file with the CCAA so that leaves me only one option. Going to court and going to the AKC to get the situation remedied. Since the club gave me no other options that is what I am doing.
There is a simple solution to this whole thing, the club lets the complaint go forward thus following the constitution and that solves the whole problem. But we all know that is never going to happen so we will have to see how it's remedied from here.
Unfortunately the ultimate looser in this whole thing is the club itself.

Wednesday, July 15, 2009

These are the violation by the board or directors as a whole and individually that we have verified so far.
Mike E. individually for asking for my resignation on behalf of the CCAA without a hearing or allowing me to represent my side to the BOD.
For falsely accusing me of starting a bulletin board without proper evidence and without investigating.
For falsely accusing me of stealing $200.
Tony for posting the first letter from the owner of the BB and not posting the second letter stating the owner had no idea who actually did own it since he could never verify the information.
Shauna for falsely accusing me of owning the bulletin board and falsely accusing me of posting on it with no evidence.
For being the person to start the campaign for my removal without evidence or reason
For using personal issues to interfere with the BOD
For speaking badly about me outside of the board of directors
for defamation.
Derek Matson for falsely accusing me of owning the bulletin board and falsely accusing me of posting on it with no evidence.
For speaking badly about me outside of the board of directors

The board as a whole
1.For falsely accusing me of owning a bulletin board and asking me to step down with no proof and no bylaws to back up their accusations or reasoning.
2.For asking me to step down with no substantial reason according to the bylaws
3.For asking me to step down without a hearing or allowing me to present my defense
4.For not following my constitutional right to file with the membership the complaint against Shauna DeMoss.
5.For not allowing me access to the membership list to further my complaint after requesting it twice after filing my complaint.
6.For speaking badly about me outside of the board of directors.
7.For not hearing a grievance in whole and voting without ever allowing the Grievance committee to present their case.
8.For not following Roberts Rules of Order at any meeting from January – June 2009.
9.For falsely accusing me of stealing $200.
10.For never responding to my complaint against Shauna DeMoss
11.For not notifying me in writing that I was no longer head of the working committee as required in the constitution.
12.For not voting on my removal from the working committee as required in the constitution.

Now about what happened at the nationals.

Shauna did entries on all of the castlguard dogs except OP making her the owner/agent for all of these dogs. She was told that she could enter her CCAA CH’s in the champion class for the regional as well as the National so she went to John and changed entries from open putting Midas and Diego in the Champion classes.
Everyone started yelling at her and telling her it had never been done in the past so she went back to John and moved Midas and Diego back into the classes.
Diego got WD at the Regional giving him his final CH and making him a ICCF, NAKC,ARBA champion.
Diego was shown in the CH class at the NAKC held CCAA nationals in LV 2008. I know because my team handled him.
When it came time for the Nationals on Sunday I saw Derek taking Diego into the open dog class. I immediately went to Shauna and told her he was not allowed in that class he was an ICCF CH and was entered in the CH class last year at nationals. And yes I did yell at her.
Her response was “Derek told me to do it, he has a special already and can’t show both of them in the CH class.” Since Shauna did the entries that makes her his agent and her responsible. Derek knew full well Diego was a Champion and needed to be in specials ring.
So Diego gets WD taking points away from another dog. He was entered incorrectly at the Nationals knowingly by both Shauna and Derek.
Derek also did this with an Alcor bitch, entering her in the classes when she had been a champion since January 2009. The points were taken away from that bitch and given to the reserve winners bitch.
The CCAA is the breed club for the AKC and in the constitution it states that this club and it’s members will abide by AKC rules and regulations.
AKC has definite penalties for entering a dog in the wrong classes knowingly.
Action should be taken on this issue alone and charges filed against both Shauna and Derek.
When I first started this “deal” with Shauna 5 years ago her main complaint was that no body would take her dogs seriously in the show ring and nobody liked her. I worked for 5 years to make her kennels respected in the show ring and #1. I won every show fair and square, never cheated, never asked for favors from judges every thing was by the rules. Castleguard became a legitimate show kennel and in that 30 seconds Shauna ruined and degraded what it took me 5 years to do for her. It made every win in the last 5 years worth nothing and everything her kennels had accomplished in the past 5 years a fraud. That 30 seconds was also when I knew I was done and this kennel was not going to change no matter what.
At the June BOD meeting (the last meeting I attended) the board voted to change the rules from you have to be a member at the time of your wins for the points to count towards dog and bitch of the year to you just have to be a member by the end of that year for your points to count towards dog and bitch of the year.
Have you heard about these changes yet?
This was done because Shauna wanted dog and bitch of the year, this is the only way she can achieve it, and it wasn’t fair that she couldn’t have it. So Shauna has also made these titles worth nothing just by changing the rules to suit her needs..

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

"did she realize Shauna's crookedness and immoral ways? Why did she separate from Shauna? Did she feel that Shauna was gonna bring the both of them down. she would keep covering Shauna's ass."

---

From the CCAA Constitution

(l) I will not make accusations or try to discredit other breeders, exhibitors or CCAA members to anyone but the CCAA Club Officers directly.

B). An Officer or Director may be removed by the members on grounds listed above only by the vote of those members eligible to vote for the Officer or Director. This procedure may be initiated by a written petition addressed to the Secretary and signed by 25% of the membership in good standing. Such election shall be conducted within three weeks of the date when the petition was received by the Secretary and conducted by the guidelines outlined in Article 4, section 4 part (d).Vote counting must be witnessed by three members in good standing that are not members of the BOD and that are approved of by a vote of 2/3 of the BOD (less the member in question). If the Secretary is the officer in question, votes will go to Director #2 for tally (votes may also be sent to an independent firm for counting).

_________________________________

There need to be a few more questions answered this morning.
After the events at the nationals, with the BOD, and Shauna's actions when I got home I decided something needed to be done. I filed a complaint against Shauna and Derek doing it according to the by-laws as stated above. When nothing was done within a 10 day time period and I was not sent the membership list I resigned to pursue other options.
As stated above in the constitution I was not free to talk to anyone about Shauna's actions without breaking the code of ethics so to tell everyone what is going on the only option I had was to resign. My complaint was getting nowhere. The BOD was not going to allow a complaint and was breaking the rules set forth by the constitution. So now we have a whole BOD that is liable in a lawsuit for asking me to resign without cause, for not giving me a fair hearing before asking for my resignation, for unfounded accusations, for not giving me the membership list as allowed in the grievance process. We have 4 individual BOD members liable in a lawsuit for their individual actions in this whole mess.
All of this mess is because Shauna DeMoss has broken every part of the constitution and code of ethics you can possibly break and the board would not hear a complaint. The self serving ways of certain BOD members needs to end and the general membership needs to be taken into consideration above the needs of the BOD.

The best thing you as club members can do is vote at this years elections, nominate people who you know will take the club and not themselves into consideration. Every BOD and regional VP is up for re-election this year by the CCAA constitution rules.
File your grievances against the board members if they have done something to you individually, file every type of complaint you can file. Make the BOD follow the rules set forth in the constitution, Make the BOD post their monthly minutes and treasurers report. Every meeting and every vote has to be made public this is not some secret club. The BOD works for you not the other way around. Give a crap and be loud and be heard. This is not the Good Ol' Boys Club any more this is an AKC parent breed club that has to follow the rules or pay the consequences.

Monday, July 13, 2009

We had a great weekend in Eagle this weekend. Georgia was the only corso there and she was a big hit. Our judge on sunday was Pat Hastings, She is a very well respected all breed judge, has been evaluating corso litters for breeders for some time now and really enjoys the corso. Ms Hastings has been judging for many years and her opinions are always great to hear for any breed. We spent some time talking about the breed in general as well as where she feels it's going, what she likes about the breed and the people she's met.
Perty got 2 BOB should now be #2 bitch and in the top 15, not bad for a puppy. Dunka got BOS and is really starting to mature. Tahiti got 2 WB, BOS, Hunter got two reserves this weekend but I guess you have to have those weekends sometimes. We got 2 WB on the other bitches and a reserve on the bulldog her first weekend out so not bad.
I got to see some friends I hadn't seen in a while, that was fun catching up on shows and things going on.
Pete is was great to talk to you, hopefully we will get to finish our conversation some time soon.
Everyone who left messages and emails this weekend I will add those things to the list and will be getting back to you soon with dates for the filing.
The puppies are doing great, they are getting fat, their eyes are open now and they run everywhere. Now mom will be really busy.
Katie, I got your pictures of your boy, he's looking great. I glad you and Allen are enjoying him. Red boys are such social butterfly's.
Marsha, Jake is doing great. He is finally considered in remission and gets to take his Make A Wish trip to Disneyland. They get to go next week.

Friday, July 10, 2009

Thank you every one for your e-mails, information and all of your support.
The main question from every one is did I file my complaint correctly following procedure. Yes I did. I also requested the membership list twice within ten days and was never even given a response, it was totally ignored. That is the reason I resigned on Tuesday morning, now I can go forward legally.

But enough of that, I have shows this weekend, it's great to hang out with all of my old friends, travel and have fun. Ms. Georgia is showing like a pro and looking fantastic, the judges love her, plus I have a new dog ranked for a client, you can't ask for more then that.
Amy, Lori and Mark, we should get there about 7 a.m on Saturday.
I have a new litter that is healthy and beautiful and I'm having a wonderful time with them.
Jason, you should have new pictures tonight, your baby girl is doing great. Her eyes aren't open yet but she is up and running so she falls down a lot. I'll see if I can get video of it. She is gaining weight consistently and her markings are really dark.

Part 3
Charges

I will not go into the charges I am filing against the CCAA BOD and each member individually as there is a law suit being started but I will go into the Charges against Shauna.

These are the charges:

1. There was a second letter submitted by the owner of the bulletin board that Tony did not bother to submit., copies have been submitted to the grievance committee and the Secretary.

2. I now ask Derek matson and Shauna DeMoss to step down for willingly and knowingly entering a dog fraudulently in the Nationals therefore breaking the code of ethics of the CCAA rules of the AKC and code of sportsmanship for the AKC. Diego was shown in the specials class in Las Vegas at the nationals and as a class dog at the PA nationals..
3. I now ask Shauna DeMoss to step down for breeding and having a litter out of a bitch that was under the age of 18 months therefor breaking the code of ethics of the CCAA.
4. I now ask Shauna DeMoss to step down for breaking the code of ethics and putting the club in a bad light at our nationals by skipping out and not paying for her hotel room. This room was eventually paid for after I contacted the host hotel and gave them her contact phone information.
5. I now ask Shauna DeMoss to step down for un-sportsmanship like conduct and breaking the code of ethics for putting a fellow sportsman in a bad light by calling Shelly Messers dog a "Rat Dog" in public and at dog shows.
6. I now ask Derek matson to step down for dereliction of duty. Nothing has been done from his position in quite some time.
7. I now ask Shauna DeMoss and Derek Matson to step down for dereliction of duty for not having the points done in a timely manner for dog and bitch of the year and for not presenting 2 members with their championships because they counted points incorrectly.
8. I now ask for Shauna DeMoss to step down for falsely representing her dogs to the public.
9. I now ask Shauna DeMoss to step down for asking for a point recognition change to further her personal goals and taking herself and her goals into consideration before the betterment of the CCAA and it's members. The CCA by-Laws clearly state this club is for the betterment of the breed and its members.

I as a member of the CCAA ask for Shauna DeMoss' membership to be revoked to be banned from the CCAA for life and a vote be taken to the general Membership as is my right to request. Ms DeMoss has 8 serious violations under the CCAA by-laws and guidelines. I ask for Ms DeMoss to be removed from the BOD until such time as a vote has been taken by the general membership.

This is a copy of the complaint filed with the CCAA BOD. I asked twice for the membership list to file with the general membership for a %25 signed petition to take a vote for permanent removal of Shauna to the general membership under my rights as stated in the constitution under Article 3 section 4 Removal of officers. I have been denied this right.

These are the charges against Shauna, none of them have been addressed or investigated by the BOD or taken to the general membership.

Why is it I am the one being penalized when it is Shauna who has broken every rule of the club and continues to do so?

Please anyone who has had a negative experience with Castleguard or any other breeder for that matter this is your place to state your facts.

The Cane Corso is going into the Working Group with AKC in one year and this type of conduct all needs to stop before that time. Breeders and kennels need to take responsibility for their actions.

part 2

Part 2

On the way home from the nationals on Monday 5/27 I stopped to get gas and my credit/debit card wouldn’t work because it had been maxed out for the day. So I called home and asked Jeff what had been charged to the card and why wasn’t that particular card working. We find a charge had been made to my card for $558 by the host hotel. I immediately get on the phone to find out why I had been double charged for my room only to be told that Shauna had never checked out of her room and had never paid. Since I was the one who had made the reservation I was the one responsible. I immediately gave them Shauna’s phone number, address and contact information so they could collect the fees from her. The room was finally paid for on Thursday 4/30 by Shauna only because I took action.

On Sunday 4/26 the generator to the dog box was having issues so I had to get parts to get it running. Those parts cost a total of $90. On Wednesday 4/29 entries closed for the AKC Durango dog shows, I had totally forgotten so I called Shauna on the phone and asked her to hurry and enter Midas before entries close. She said she would. Subsequently when I informed Shauna and Merle of my choice of Midas I told them we would make a trade of the $90 for parts and $75 for entry fee’s if they decided to go with him coming to live with me. If they decided not to then they owed me the $90.

ON Monday 5/4 Shauna met Jeff at the post office and gave him $100. To me that was the answer to my offer. NO. Also Midas was never entered in the Durango dog shows.

So now I have no dog, $10,129 in hard expenses for keeping and caring for her dogs over the past 5 years and $95,000 worth of Handler value given to Castleguard kennels.

On 5/12/09 A response letter was sent to Shauna about the offer she gave me regarding Midas and informing her of my expenses over the past 5 years. To date there has been no response.

On Friday 5/8 I find out that someone has started a new Bulletin Board, used my email address so I go looking for them. I e-mailed 6 people asking if they knew who started it. From there it turns into Shauna accusing me of starting a BB to bash her and her doing everything she can to get me out of the BOD.

On 6/25 I received a phone call from Mike E asking me to resign from the BOD for starting a BB even tho there is no evidence to this day that it was ever started by me, there is no rule that says you can’t start a BB and there was no way to tell who was posting what on that board. But Shauna got her way. So I send a resignation letter to the BOD along with 8 charges against Shauna DeMoss, asking for her immediate removal from the BOD and permanent removal from the CCAA. Everything was done in accordance with the bi-laws and constitution of the CCAA but I was not allowed due process. So I then turned in my resignation the club yesterday morning 7/7 at 8 a.m. so I have the option pursue further action.

the beginning part 1

I met Shauna DeMoss in November of 2003. She called the house looking for someone that could help her family with handling lessons and showing dogs in conformation. That was to be the beginning of a long relationship with Castleguard. As the next few months went by and lessons progressed the DeMoss family became more and more interested in conformation and winning.
On Sunday April 25,2004 myself and my husband made our first trip to Cedaredge to see the kennels and meet all of the dogs. That afternoon myself, Jeff, Shauna and Merle all sat down and worked out an agreement to compete and show the dogs. That agreement was very simply I would train, show and travel with the dogs, and take Castleguard to #1 within 5 years. Shauna was to pay her share of all travel expenses and entry fee's on her dogs. I would also train the girls to take over handling in 5 years. In return for my services, when the time came I would get the dog of my choice no strings attached, free and clear. This has been our working agreement for the past 5 years In the past 5 years I have had a no less than 1 Castleguard dog living at my home at all times.
Over the last 5 years I have traveled to many shows all over the country with dogs and the girls winning and meeting my end of the deal.
This year arrangements were made to travel the the PA Nationals the weekend of 4/24-26. The girls and I left on the drive on Monday 4/20. As everyone well knows Shauna's kennels won WD, WB, BOW, 1st award of merit and BOB at the nationals show along with many other awards.
My job is now done.
The girls and I returned home on Thursday4/30 at 1 p.m. ending our long 10 day trip.
When Shauna and Merle arrived at the house to pick up girls and dogs I had a long talk with them. I said I felt that there had to be a formal end to the contract just as there was a beginning. I had taken her to #1 with everything they have won last year and this year and it was time for the girls to take over, they are ready and she no longer needed me. I was very proud of everyones accomplishments. I informed Shauna and Merle at that time that Midas was my choice for my dog in payment. Shauna was told that I understood he was important to her breeding program so these were the conditions I offered even tho that was not part of the original deal.
1. Castleguard would have unlimited use for any bitch they own or co-own
2. Any outside bitches used we would split the stud fee's
3. I felt Midas was capable of being a top AKC working dog. If it turned out he was and I needed, I would neuter Midas in 2011 but before I did I would have him collected and frozen at my expense so there would be no damage done to the future of her kennels. I asked them to go home and think about it and let me know in a day or 2.

Now how have we gone from this to where we are now.
